Updated: Jan 8, 2020
This is a gem in the heart of the downtown. I bet you’ve read about it, if you’ve ever been googling for Porto, all true it worth visiting. Once you get inside you see on the walls around the stunning job of Jorge Colaço the painter of #azulejo of the beginning of 20th century. There are approximately 20.000 azulejo tiles in total (wanna try to count?)
Life scenes of brave Portuguese conquerors, discoverers and regular people is perfectly shown by this very special Portuguese #art
The paintings are different in size, depending on the place occupied on the wall.
The entrance into the platforms area is simply beautiful.
The only “normal” place you can find on São Bento station is the area with platforms and trains, the most practical part of every railway station.
