2019 #Lombardia | Bruno Verdi winery, Canneto Pavese

During my November #winetrip I had only one day, even not a full one, planned for Oltrepo Pavese area visiting. As it was my first time in this wine region, then I had to choose estates carefully to make myself sure I'm on the "best of the bests" side from the beginning, plus I wanted to see different types of wineries, as usual. At the end of that day I've realized that I've got exactly what I wanted, thanks to the Universe. One of two wineries I've visited in #Oltrepo was B

2019 #Lombardia | Ca' del Bosco winery, Franciacorta

If you ever drunk Franciacorta sparkling wine or ever been visiting the area then you most probably heard name of Ca' del Bosco, who is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) producer of Franciacorta in the world. I bet you saw their bottles on the shelves of your wine shop, at least. So being in the area, of course, visit to this winery is a must to see everything by your own eyes and to understand a difference with other estates. I saw in some sources that Ca' del Bosco is

    2019 #Lombardia | Bersi Serlini winery, Franciacorta

Franciacorta wine area of Lombardia region is definitely an amazing place to be, where a lot of great estates producing premium shiny bubbles, I really suggest to visit them as much as you can because they all are different, with lots of stories behind, #terroir specifics, great people working there and good wines they craft, which you could probably taste only here. This particular story is about visiting Bersi Serlini estate. Bersi Serlini roots are from the Middle Ages, wh

    2019 #Lombardia | Ferghettina winery, Franciacorta

Usually my personal preferences are small #wine estates because of their unique character and soul, more particular approach to terroir and winemaking, and much more exclusive types of wines produced. However, there are some big wineries more mass market oriented in terms of quantity, but in the same time crafting wines of a great quality, taking care about all the details same as small family producers do. Ferghettina estate is one of those, actually it's been started as a s

    2019 #Piemonte | Luigi Pira winery, Serralunga d'Alba

Serralunga is the terrior in Barolo area, giving the most powerful fullbodied wines with the greatest possible longevity. Luigi Pira estate is located on the western side of #Serralunga hills. If you are in the zone, don't miss a chance to visit this nice friendly estate and taste excellent wines created by Gianpaolo. Pira family cultivates the vines and craft their wines here from the mid 50s. They owns 12 hectares, of which half is divided between three crus dedicated to #B

    2019 #Piemonte | Oddero winery, La Morra

One of the most famous families producers of Barolo in Piemonte is definitely Oddero, a family with over a century of viticultural traditions, whose winery is located in the northern part of Langhe, in La Morra area. Visiting them was a great experience, which I would like to repeat with pleasure, once I'm again in the zone. The winery is located in a picturesque place Santa Maria village, surrounded by vineyards on the hills of La Morra. The estate owns 35 hectares of vineya
